STUDENTS TRAINED IN FIRE FIGHTING TECHNIQUES

Fire officers from Buduburam fire station in the Central Region of Ghana held a fire-fighting training session for all students & staff at St. Brother Andre Senior High School in Kasoa-Opeikuma.

The training program was organized by management of the school at the school’s premises. Station officer Charles Emery took students through theoretical knowledge on the elements of fire, causes of fire, measures to avoid fire outbreak and demonstrated the best methods to extinguish fire to protect our households, campus and surroundings.

The fire officer mentioned cooling of fire, blanketing and starvation as methods of extinguishing fire and advised students not to have switches on when not in use. He added that we should not send mobile devices close to fire.
